How do I become a gofor driver

To become a GoFor driver, you need to apply and successfully complete our onboarding process.
To apply, check out our open listings to see the cities where we are actively onboarding drivers.  Complete the application for the relevant city and vehicle.

How long does it take to process my application?

It can take up to 48 hours to process your application.

What are the requirements to drive with GoFor?

What does it mean to be an independent contractor?

When you drive with GoFor you’re independent. You won’t be an employee; your services will be contracted by the company. This means you will be an independent contractor.

As an independent contractor, you will need to report your income and manage your taxes. gofor will provide for you a tax summary to help you to complete your taxes. Please note, that GoFfor can not provide tax advice. For this reason, we recommend you use professional services.

What kind of vehicle can I use?

We use a variety of vehicles to meet our customer’s needs. These include:

  • Car/SUV
  • Pickup truck
  • Cargo van
  • Sprinter van
  • Cube van

When will I get paid?

We offer weekly payouts.

Why doesn’t GoFor pay hourly?

As a GoFor driver you earn a per trip rate. This allows you to be flexible with the hours you work and sign in or out of the app as needed.

Do GoFor drivers need to work on weekends?

As an independent contractor, you decide which days you work. We are open and busy on the weekends, so there are opportunities to complete deliveries should you be interested in earning more. GoFor is always closed on Sundays.

Why do I need to have minimum insurance requirements to drive with you?

As an independent contractor, you’re responsible for holding the required insurance. Auto insurance, commercial liability insurance, and cargo insurance so you are protected  in case of claims.

why do you need my SSN/SIN if I am an independent contractor?

As a courtesy, we provide yearly tax documents (T4A and 1099) to make it easier for you to file your taxes.

Why do GoFor drivers have to wear a hard hat and steel toe shoes?

Because we deliver construction materials, sometimes you will be delivering to a jobsite. For safety reasons, we require you to wear your personal protective equipment while picking up and completing orders for GoFor.

Why do GoFor drivers need to have blankets and straps in their vehicle?

You are responsible for delivering packages without damaging them, as well as ensuring the safety of all other drivers on the road. As such, packages need to be securely stored in your vehicle. Blankets and ratchet straps will help you ensure the package arrives safely at the drop off location.

Do GoFor drivers still need to wear a face mask when entering stores?

You are required to follow all safety procedures required by the store, including wearing a face covering if required.
